Be A part of the Solution

Compassion in Action

Our community is full of compassionate individuals who have life experience, skills, and influence that impact the lives of others.  Volunteers are the very core backbone of our organization. Family Promise of Anderson has numerous opportunities to connect your compassion and unique abilities with a life-changing purpose. You will be impacting the lives of others just as they will impact your life.

Host Congregation

We connect congregations, groups, and other individuals to assist children and their families as they transition from homelessness to sustainable independence.  Congregations provide safe lodging stays for our guest families.  These congregations collectively make up our Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN).  Children need a safe, loving, and friendly environment. Volunteers are significant in making this transition easier on children who no longer have a place of their own to call home. Loving volunteers provide hot meals in a family style environment during the host week as well as breakfast and lunch items for families to take on the go.

Volunteers are great with assisting children.

Support Congregation

A Support Congregation is partnered with a Host Congregation and provides volunteers to help the Host Congregation during their host week.  This is a great option for congregations with space limitations and/or smaller size congregations.  Members are still able to impact the lives of local families.  Support Congregations can assist in many ways such as:

-Promote the programs of Family Promise of Anderson within their congregation and the community.

-Promote and support fundraising events.

-Help staff with Day Center needs.

Connect Today

Our community is full of people who want to help. We work to equip and connect families with the appropriate resources in the community. These connections fill in the gaps to create stability.  Your involvement can provide a support system for families who have nowhere else to turn. Your knowledge, leadership, compassion, and resources can impact lives tremendously.  Come connect with people in new ways. Get involved today.
